Tum Bun Tak Bat at So Chilled

Tum Bun Tak Bat is a common practice in Thai society. It involves making merit by offering food to Buddhist monks. Join Soneva Kiri's Hosts in a monk blessing ceremony and get acquainted with Thai traditions.

Songkran Assembly at The View

Join Soneva Kiri's Hosts at The View where a local Long Drum band will perform traditional Thai music.

Songkran Parade from The View

The Long Drum band will lead our Songkran Parade to the Arrival Jetty, where everyone will board speedboats to South Beach.

Children’s Activities

Our Den Team has an exciting line-up of adventures for our younger guests. They can take part in Tum Bun Tak Bat, make garlands from dried leaves, and take part in the Songkran assembly. When it comes to exploring, they can traverse the dense jungle to see giant Banyan and Maca trees, see the sights and sounds of Koh Kood, learn about sustainability at the Eco Centro, take part in a scavenger hunt and more!

The Four Regions of Thailand Dinner at the Dining Room

Celebrate the Thai New Year with authentic Thai cuisine from each of the four regions of the country. Each region has its own distinctive flavours and dishes, from the Northeast’s Isan cuisine, the Northern Lanna dishes, to the spice and sharpness of the South, and the well-known dishes from the Central region like green curry and tom yum kung.

Lunch at South Beach 

Each day you can enjoy lunch on the pristine sands of South Beach. Depending on the rotating lunch themes you can dine on fresh salads, pit- or spit-cooked seafood, lamb, and chicken, shawarmas, burgers and beer and Indonesian cuisine. Western and Thai dishes are available every day, as well as a great selection of wines, cocktails, juices and more! 

Mushroom Cave Lunch 

Experience lunch in a natural cave after picking mushrooms grown in our Mushroom Hut. Our chef will prepare a five-course meal for you, with mushrooms being the highlight of each dish, even dessert! 

Dinner at The View 

Take in the stunning view out across the Gulf of Thailand while experiencing Nikkei cuisine, a fusion of flavours from Japan and Peru. Chef Christophe effortlessly blends the delicacy and nuance of the Japanese culinary tradition with the vibrant and zesty flavours of Peru.

Dinner at Kruua Mae Tuk 

A Thai gourmet restaurant, with a 'no-menu' dining concept and a vast selection of dishes that are inspired by ingredients grown on Koh Kood, Koh Chang, and seafood caught by local fishermen. Chef Tuk crafts dishes bursting with flavours and aromas, elevating local cuisine to new heights.

Dinner at Down to Earth by Chef Umed

Chef Umed delights guests with traditional Northern Frontier cuisine with a touch of Middle Eastern influences and the subtle flavours the north of India is so well known for. Hear tales of how the dishes he prepares come from the old days of Indian Kings and Queens during this toes-in-the-sand dining experience.

Dinner at Colours of the Garden 

Dine on a plant-based menu inspired by Mexican and Thai cuisine. Go on a journey through the Organic Garden, learning about the ingredients that create the nutrient-dense, colourful dishes; all of which can be paired with natural wines. The experience includes a Medicinal Mixology cocktail class with the Botanical Bartender and stargazing.

Koh Rang Snorkelling 

A fantastic day out for all who love the sea, enjoy snorkelling the pristine coral reefs and a castaway beach experience. It takes approximately 40 minutes to get to Koh Rang Yai National Marine Park, where the coral reefs are home to rich and abundant marine life. Your Snorkelling Guide will brief you, including entry and exit guidelines, swimming techniques, the site description and what marine life you can expect to see. For all other resort activities and experiences, please refer the resort brochure or ask your Barefoot Butler. 

South Beach

South Beach’s white sands, swaying palms, and crystal-clear water beckon! Choose between soaking up the sun’s rays or getting wet with catamaran and hobicat sailing, stand-up paddle boarding, kayaking, water skiing, and snorkelling. On the sands you can play badminton, beach volleyball and football if you aren’t busy making sandcastles.

Koh Raet and Solar Reef Snorkelling 

The sculpture garden of Koh Raet’s south end is one of the most unique dive sites around Koh Kood. Koh Raet, a small island just west of Koh Kood is home to several artificial reef projects. The sculpture garden assembles several animal sculptures placed in an area of powder white sand. However, the nearby natural reef is a true highlight just by itself with lots of dense, cavernous coral structures. 

Seven Days, Seven Beaches  

Set sail from Soneva Kiri to discover some of Thailand’s most breath-taking beaches. This experience will take you to seven of these unforgettable hidden gems, just a short cruise away yet far from the usual tourist trail. Step aboard a traditional wooden fishing boat to explore secluded coves, fringed by swaying palms, crystal-clear lagoons, and the purest white sands. When the boat anchors, it transforms into your own private beach club: snorkel the azure depths, swim ashore to sunbathe, kayak or paddle board along the coastline, and enjoy a sumptuous barbecue lunch, freshly prepared on board. Join our Sommelier, Khun O, for an evening of carefully selected vintages from the New and Old World. The tastings can be paired with cold cuts and cheese to make them even more indulgent.

Let the Spa team show you how to make Organic coconut oil for daily use, the class starting from getting the coconut flakes in traditional Thai style.

The Den 

A giant moulded bamboo playground shaped like a manta ray, The Den is dedicated to learning, to excitement, to meaningful experiences. Professional child minders pique your children’s imaginations, teaching them to play Thai instruments, unleashing their creative talents with painting and the visual arts, and carefully watching them at play in the wonderous world of moulded bamboo spaces up, down, and around. 

Eco Den 

At Soneva Kiri we also offer a special programme aimed specifically at one to five-year-olds in our Eco Den, making this the only resort to offer such comprehensive, age-specific facilities. Here, the children get to play with toys and take part in activities that meet Soneva’s stringent standards of social and environmental responsibility. All children are looked after by qualified childcare experts, supported by local child carers.
