Christmas Eve Gala Dinner at Mihiree Mithaa

Celebrate the night before Christmas, beginning with So Social on the Sandbank, followed by a Mini Journey from the Fish Shack at Bar (a) bara. Wind your way along the path, past cooking stations and entertainers, all the way to Mihiree Mithaa for our Gala Dinner.

Start Christmas day in a festive spirit, with a sumptuous breakfast buffet accompanied by Christmas music and carnival games. 


Christmas Games and a Visit from Santa

Rumour has it that Santa will be landing at Soneva Fushi’s main area at 10 am on December 25, with a sack full of presents for our younger guests. Once you’ve met the jolly man in red, enjoy Christmas games for all the family.

New Year’s Eve 2021 Journey Across the Globe

Our spectacular New Year’s Eve celebrations take you on a culinary adventure around the world. A tantalising feast for the senses, experience gastronomy inspired by the seven continents, paired with the finest wines, cocktails, mocktails and Champagnes. Starting at the Fish Shack at Bar (a) bara, the journey winds its way along torch-lit paths to mouth-watering live cooking stations and magical live entertainment – from dancers to opera singers. The evening culminates with a countdown to 2022 and a dazzling light show to welcome in the new year – followed by a live band and DJ spinning tunes into the early hours.

Dinner with Visiting Chef, John Burton-Race (Dec. 23, 25 and 26, 2021)

John Burton-Race, a successful chef, television personality and restaurateur, was born in Singapore to a British diplomat father. He spent his formative years travelling the globe, experiencing a multitude of cuisines. His earliest memories of cooking involved watching and helping the family chef, which is where he discovered both his innate talent and profound passion for cooking. He rose through the ranks of kitchen life, learning and honing his craft for many years. In 2004, John opened The New Angel in Dartmouth, which was awarded a Michelin Star in 2005 and retained it until his departure in 2010.


Football Camp with Mikael Silvestre (Dec. 18-26, 2021)

The football legend will be making a welcome return to Soneva Fushi to host his popular football camp, teaching young players essential skills to improve their game and their sportsmanship, both on and off the pitch.


Reiki Master Yash Shekhar (until Jan. 15, 2022)

Visiting Wellness Specialist Yash Shekhar offers Tibetan Reiki - his powerful healing sessions are a deeply rejuvenating experience with long-term, positive results.


Master Fitness Trainer Johnny Owen (until Jan. 13, 2022)

A multi-faceted coach and consultant with 20 years’ experience, Johnny is passionate about guiding, inspiring and educating others to achieve optimum health and reach their ultimate potential. The Adventure of Corbin

This special Soneva Academy adventure follows in the wake of The Corbin, a galleon that sank on the Goidhoo reef in 1602. Stay on the island of Innafushi to learn about the sea, survival skills and ancient navigation methods.

Experience an evening filled with surprises, starting with a walk of discovery through Soneva’s organic vegetable garden. The menu features simple yet experimental organic and plant-based dishes, blending Maldivian and Southeast Asian cuisines; which are then prepared using Nordic techniques such as smoking, salting, fermenting and pickling.

Surf uncrowded breaks with our surfing guides and instructors on the world’s first 100% sustainable surfing programme. All of our equipment, from our sunscreen to fins and rash guards, are made by sustainable brands.


Dinner at Fresh in the Garden by Chef Mads

Dine high above our organic gardens, where the aromas of the herbs waft up from below. The central open kitchen gives you a front-row seat to the action, and choose to sit under cover or beneath the starry night sky. Currently, Fresh in the Garden is hosting a 12-month pop-up with a menu by Chef Mads Refslund, the Noma co-founder and pioneer for New Nordic Cuisine, that is based on the concept of 'fire and ice'.


Dinner at So Bespoke by Hiroshi

Sizzling and smoke set the stage for So Bespoke, our teppanyaki table at Out of the Blue. This outdoor restaurant commands unspoilt views across the clear waters of the Baa Atoll. Hiroshi, our experienced Japanese Teppanyaki chef, creates an intimate and unforgettable dining experience that showcases exquisite ingredients and culinary showmanship, with just eight guests per sitting.

So Social on the Sandbank

Join your fellow guests on our private sandbank every Tuesday evening as the sun begins to set over the horizon. Meet and mingle with our Management Team as you enjoy a selection of cocktails and drinks, gourmet finger food and massages on the sand to the sounds of traditional Boduberu drums.


Snorkelling the Rose Garden

The Rose Garden at Goidhoo is a shallow snorkelling site that offers a spectacular display that looks like a huge underwater garden of rose-shaped coral.


Water Sports

Pick up an old hobby or try something new with our selection of complimentary non-motorised and chargeable motorised water sports. These include paddle boarding, windsurfing, kayaking, kite surfing, sailing, fun tubing (single ring, two and three seat tube), water skiing, mono skiing, kneeboarding, wakeboarding, laser boat, sub wing and our Seabob.


The Den

Inspired by childhood wonder, The Den is the largest children’s club in the Maldives and South Asia, packed with exciting, one-of-a-kind activities and experiences for our youngest guests. Discover our daily programme of fun and inspiring activities for children and teens, or simply come and hang out with us and tell us what you would like to do. The Den and our activities programme are designed for children aged 4 and above; under 4s are welcome to join us if accompanied by a parent or a babysitter. The Den is open daily from 10:00-17:00 - we do not close for lunch, so families and children can order In-Villa Dining to The Den should you wish to dine there.
