Soneva Kiri offers unforgettable, authentic experiences on beautiful Koh Kood. One of Thailand's largest but least populated islands, discover untamed jungle, vibrant fishing villages and some of the country's finest beaches.

Seven Days, Seven Beaches 

Step aboard a wooden fishing boat to explore some of Thailand's most beautiful beaches, bays and hidden coves. The boat becomes your private beach club at anchor: snorkel, swim ashore to sunbathe, go kayaking or paddle boarding, and enjoy a gourmet lunch, prepared on board. Each day takes you to a different beach, including: Klong Chao Beach, Ao Kluai, Ao Bon Beach, Klong Han Beach, Ao Tapao, Klong Ngamko Beach and Takhian Beach. Choose from a one-day cruise or the full seven-day adventure.

Cinema Paradiso 

Watch classic movies under the stars at our jungle auditorium in the centre of a tropical lagoon. Recline on comfortable cushions as you nibble on a menu of gourmet comfort foods, accompanied by creative cocktails. 

Cinema Paradiso shows classic films on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Private cinema screenings can be arranged for all other evenings.

Screenings: 19:30 and 21:30


Stargazing 

On the remote island of Koh Kood, we are blessed with wonderfully clear skies, far from the light pollution of the mainland. Our state-of-the-art Observatory offers 360-degree views of the star-strewn heavens. Explore the Milky Way with our resident Astronomer, identifying constellations, counting the moons of Jupiter and peering at the graceful halo of Saturn’s rings. 

Duration: Weather permitting and according to the schedule

The Observatory is open from 20:30 until 22:30

Sonu’s Picnic 

Embrace the castaway life and try Sonu’s favourite – lunch on the soft white sands, prepared by your own personal chef. Take a dip in the crystal clear, blue waters with our in-house snorkelling guide while your chef prepares a sumptuous spread of gourmet temptations.

Yai Ki Waterfall 

Explore Koh Kood's unspoiled rainforest ecosystems with a hike to the nearby Yai Ki waterfall. Cool off in the cascade and take a refreshing dip in the clear natural pool, then discover the nearby flora and fauna with our expert guide. If you would rather not go by foot, we can also arrange for you to go to the waterfall by car.

Sunrise Breakfast 

Start the day as you mean to go on with a sunrise breakfast on our jetty. Wake up with the first rays of the sun and enjoy the sound of the dawn chorus as you dine on an a la carte breakfast menu, prepared just for you.

Dining Cruises

Set sail on a culinary adventure from the Soneva Kiri jetty on a traditional wooden boat. Start the day with a sunrise breakfast, prepared by the onboard chef. Enjoy a long lunch as you soak up the sunshine. Toast the setting sun with a glass of Champagne and delectable canapés. Dine on an unforgettable dinner with the gentle sea breeze on your skin, or explore the heavens with your own on-board Astronomer with an Astronomy Dinner Cruise under the stars.

In-Villa Barbecue 

Dine on a mouthwatering barbecue in the comfort of your own private villa. Your personal chef will create a bespoke five-course menu, paired with your choice of drinks, including wines from our extensive cellars. Tailored to your tastes, choose from cuisines such as Indian, European, Thai and South-East Asian.

Wine Tasting and Wine Dinner

Join our knowledgeable Sommelier for an evening of perfect pairings. Enjoy a tasting session through five of the world's most revered wine regions, accompanied by an assortment of delicious cheese and charcuterie. Or indulge in a memorable wine dinner, matched to perfection with gourmet creations from our chef – an unforgettable gastronomic experience.

Wine tasting experiences can also be arranged in the privacy of
​your own villa.

Floating Dining 

Let us bring breakfast, lunch or high tea to you, delivered straight to your private pool on a floating tray, laden with delectable treats. Enjoy tropical fruits and freshly-baked pastries, petit fours, sandwiches and more, and raise a toast with an optional bottle of chilled Champagne. We can also bring the experience beachside, with a floating Champagne lunch at South Beach.

Treepod Dining

Our Treepod Dining Experience presents a unique culinary adventure. Take a seat in our bamboo pod, which is raised high up into the tropical foliage of Koh Kood’s ancient rainforest. Gaze out across the boulder-covered shoreline and dancing waves as you savour chilled delicacies, inspired small plates and curated beverages, delivered via zipline by your personal waiter.

The Eco Den

Located just next door to The Den, the Eco Den is dedicated to our very youngest guests, aged one to four. The safe, age appropriate space is packed with fun games and activities for little ones, as well as quiet spaces for a daytime snooze, with qualified childminders on hand to attend to their every need.

DIY Workshops

Young Sonevians can learn to 'do-it-themselves' with a range of hands-on workshops that harnesses their creativity. With a focus on sustainability and upcycling, sessions can include designing and painting a t-shirt, decorating a bag, or creating a photo frame to take home as a souvenir.

Campfire on South Beach

Embrace glamping at its finest. Sit back and relax next to the flames of the open campfire. Dine on a delicious menu under the stars, with melodies from our talented guitarist and storytelling sessions for Young Sonevians.

WATER


Koh Kood by Sea 

One of Thailand's most untamed destinations, fringed by lush mangroves and swaying palms, vast swathes of Koh Kood's pristine coastline can only be reached by sea. Cruise along the calm waters and catch a glimpse of the traditional Thai way of life, where time has almost stood still for centuries. Stop off at the Ao Yai fishing village, and dine on an authentic Thai lunch at a local restaurant, prepared from the catch of the day that was caught in nearby waters. When you're ready, our captain will collect you for the return trip to Soneva Kiri.

Don't forget to bring shoes, swimwear, a sunhat and sunscreen.

Solar Reef and House Reef Coral Snorkelling  

Soneva Kiri’s Solar Reef is a man-made reef garden powered by the sun, which attracts an array of marine species that have chosen it as their new habitat and breeding ground.

Or snorkel the clear calm waters around our house reef, searching for colourful fish amongst the corals.

Duration: Any time between 9:00 and 17:00




Koh Rang Snorkelling 

Snorkel the colourful coral reefs at Koh Rang Yai National Marine Park. With fantastic visibility, encounter an abundant array of marine life as you are led by your personal snorkelling guide - from giant clams to darting shoals of tropical fish.

Duration: Any time between 9:00 and 17:00*

Koh Raet Snorkelling  

Koh Raet, just 5 minutes from Soneva Kiri by boat, is one of Koh Kood's most unique dive and snorkelling sites - with a dense natural reef, teeming with fish and crustacea, and a sunken sculpture garden, where you can spot an elephant, tiger, horse, cow and a dog on the sandy seabed.

Duration: 1 hour 30 mins  

Non-Motorised Watersports 

We offer a range of complimentary non-motorised watersports, including kayaking, paddleboarding and hobie cats. Try our glass-bottomed kayaks, which offer a glimpse into the ocean below.

Private tuition is available at an additional charge per hour.

Castaway Picnic  

Cruise to Koh Rang Marine Park on one of our speedboats to encounter a vast variety of tropical marine life. Our underwater discovery team will then escort you to your very own private beach for a picnic on the sands.

PADI Diving Courses 

The Gulf of Thailand is home to some remarkable dive spots and offers exceptional visibility under the waves - where you can spot an array of magical marine creatures, from whale sharks to giant clams. Our experienced PADI instructors work with divers of all levels and abilities, including absolute beginners. Choose from Scuba or open water diving courses.

LAND


Koh Krada Safari Tour 

Discover the enchanting landscapes at Koh Kradad on an unforgettable safari tour. Just 35 minutes northwest by speedboat from Soneva Kiri, explore this idyllic island’s beautiful beaches and bays. Learn more about Koh Kradad’s famed wild deer, soak up breathtaking views, and uncover hidden lagoons for an unforgettable experience on one of Thailand’s lesser-known island escapes. 

Duration: 3 hours 



Hornbills Project and Rainforest Adventure

Explore the lush jungles and stunning waterfalls of Koh Kood island, the home of Soneva Kiri, where you’ll also get the chance to spot rare oriental pied hornbills and their nests. Learn more about these special birds and their impact on forest biodiversity, thanks to a special reintroduction project by Soneva Foundation and the Thailand Hornbill Research Foundation.

Koh Kood Discovery 

Learn more about the local way of life on Koh Kood. Visit the Ao Salat fishing village, lose yourself in the natural beauty of the lush mangrove forest, and take a dip in the magnificent Klong Chao waterfall and its cooling freshwater pools.

Romantic Jetty Dinner


Enjoy a romantic evening meal on the jetty, serenaded by the gentle sound of the waves. With panoramic views of the ocean and a from , our jetty hosts a variety of dining experiences, from candlelight dinners to a delectable crab set menu.

This dining experience can be customised for marriage proposals.

Klong Chao Beach & Waterfall Adventure 

Discover unspoiled Koh Kood with a trek through the island’s dense rainforest. Along the way, cool off in the crystal clear waterfalls that cascade over five different levels and swim in the freshwater pools below.

Difficultly level: hard. Not suitable for children under 12. This experience requires a moderate level of fitness as uphill hiking is involved. Closed-toe shoes must be worn.

Duration: 2 hours 

Mushroom Cave Lunch 

Join us for a dining experience featuring a menu specially designed around mushrooms - all home-grown in Soneva Kiri's Mushroom Hut. Take a seat in the Mushroom Cave, surrounded by jungle, and savour a deliciously healthy five-course menu (either Western cuisine or Thai vegetarian), crafted from mushrooms. The main course is at your table by our chef, who will also explain mushrooms' many nutritional benefits.

Galaxy Dinner at South Beach

Dine under the stars or a full moon, with this personalised gastronomic experience on the soft sands of South Beach. Your personal chef and waiter will set up a table and present you with freshly caught seafood, grilled to perfection, served with an array of accompaniments and a chilled bottle of Champagne. 

This dining experience can be customised for marriage proposals.

Capture all your Soneva memories with our in-house Digital Storytellers. Set up a photo shoot to capture portraits in paradise, or we can join you on a signature experience to document every memorable moment on film. We also have GoPro cameras available for rent if you would like to be the director of your own holiday video.

Cooking Classes 

Learn the culinary arts from our talented team of chefs. Discover the secrets of authentic Thai cuisine with Chef Tuk, which includes a visit to the Ao Salat fishing village to source the freshest ingredients. Take a tour around our organic gardens with a cooking class at Colours of the Garden, including medicinal mixology with our Botanical Bartender. Or take your place at our Chef's Table to learn how to recreate some of your favourite dishes from our menus.

Ao Salat Seafood Barbecue 

Step aboard a wooden boat and sip on a glass of Champagne as the sun sets on the horizon. When you arrive at Ao Salat fishing village, you'll be welcomed by a local family into their traditional house to experience their way of life, and indulge in a seafood barbecue, prepared by our chef from the freshest locally-sourced ingredients.

CONSCIOUS EXPERIENCES



Mangrove Paddleboarding

Explore the unique aquatic ecosystem of Koh Kood’s mangrove forests and learn about the abundant wildlife and the vital role that mangroves play in protecting the island’s delicate ecosystem. Paddle the shoreline for a chance to see turtles, fish and nesting birds.

Garden to Table

Take a guided tour of the organic gardens at the heart of the resort with one of our knowledgeable gardeners - see the varieties of fruit, vegetables and herbs that we grow and gain a deeper understanding of our 'waste-to-wealth' philosophy. Pick fresh herbs and vegetables along the way, then plant a sapling from the nursery, followed by an optional cooking class. You'll then make your way to the garden table where our chefs will create a lunch from the day’s harvest.

Traditional Thai Fishing

Learn techniques passed down from one generation of fishermen to the next with the Traditional Thai Fishing Experience. This sustainable fishing trip lets guests practice and perfect fishing techniques by the light of the moon and stars, before your catch is prepared in true Thai style on board the traditional wooden fishing boat. Guests can choose to dine in their villa or on the sands of South Beach.
